Time in Astronomy – Prague astronomical clock

In astronomy, time takes on a whole new perspective compared to our everyday experience, including timescales, time dilatation, cyclic nature and more.

Prague astronomical clock is a medieval astronomical clock attached to the Old Town Hall in Prague, the capital of the Czechia. The clock was first installed in 1410, it is the oldest clock still in operation.

Josef Chlachula has been an amateur astronomer since he was 15. He is an active member of the Rochester Astronomy Club.

Observing
